FHN: Zara Philips in Stewart Parvin at the Royal Wedding #2

Zara Phillips and her father Mark arrive at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh

Wills and Kate weren’t the only royals to get hitched in style this year as Zara Philips said ‘I do’ to rugby royalty Mike Tindall, in a beautiful dress, designed by Stewart Parvin.

The gown had a full-length veil, and silk tulle straps with a concertina pattern, and Zara topped it off with the tiara previously worn by her mother, Princess Anne. Given that Zara’s trademark style has more of a tomboy edge, it was nice to see her dressed up and looking gorgeous as she walked down the aisle!

So how does this Royal Wedding Dress compare to Kate Middleton’s Sarah Burton spectacular? HOUSE OF SASSI rates Zara Philips’s beautiful and understated wedding dress: 4/5

FHN: Emma Watson at the Harry Potter Premier

“Fashion Hot or Not”

Emma Watson made a magical entrance at the premier of the final Harry Potter film last night in a show-stopping LBD, a look which couldn’t have been more different from the wizard attire that fans are used to seeing her in.

Posing for photos outside the St Pancras Hotel with her co-stars, it isn’t difficult to see why the star is fast becoming a fashion icon. Emma opted for a beautiful Rafael Lopez number, an innovative take on the LBD, with lace and ruffle detailing for a stand out look. A pair of patent black heels were the perfect addition to the outfit.

HOUSE OF SASSI have rated Emma Watson’s stunning Red Carpet look  : RATING 4/5

FHN: Met Gala 2011 – Anna Wintour

“Fashion Hot or Not”

Vogue’s Editor-in-chief Anna Wintour turned up to the 2011’s Met Gala in beautiful fully sequinned Chanel gown from the fashion house’s S/S 2011 line. The original haute couture dress on the runway did not have sleeves, but Anna being who she is, had it changed.

The dress features a fully black hem and sleeves, then changes in colour, featuring strips of purple, lilac, white, cream and a light peach. Then dress is finished with a white strike down the middle of the dress which creates a more lengthened look.

Her sharp signature bob and necklace finish the effortlessly stylish outfit.

Coachella Kicks Summer Festival Fashion Into Gear

The first festival has kicked off in the style of Coachella and the celebrity fashionistas did not disappoint in their choices of outfits, some opting for a stand out pieces whilst others dressed in shabby chic!

Vanessa Hudgens went all hippy chick on us with baggy Novella Royale trousers, Wkshp Sioux Falls  top and a floppy hat, she also seemed to of gone a bit over the top on the jewellery with numerous necklaces, bracelets and rings. Paris Hilton pictured with sister Nicky, on the other hand wore a flower printed dress cut at the thigh by the designer Karen Zambos, she was also rocking a gold headband, which is one of this summers must haves for festival chic.

Some ladies who didn’t do quite so well were Dita Von Teese who wore an unnamed mis-matched dress which resembled something out of Sesame Street, funky (and not in the good way) sunglasses and silver purse, but she didn’t get it all wrong, her Christian Louboutin espadrilles were gorgeous and right on trend. Isabel Lucas dressed a bit like Marmite – you either love it or hate it. But we personally have put the Tigerlily dress and the bare footed Isabel Lucas in our worst dressed list.

Many celebrities went for the short shorts look, Nicole Richie, Kate Bosworth,WhitneyPort, Camilla Belle and Eliza Doolittle all let the legs catch the sun. The shorts look elongates the whole body and mixes a casual and chic style.

A lot of jewellery was also on show with bracelets, bangles and necklaces galore, with every fashionista stacking them up their arms and adorning their necks, with Eliza Doolittle and Vanessa Hudgens clearly being the biggest fans.
