being U Launches at MODA Lingerie and Swimwear Exhibition!

HOUSE OF SASSI has been spending the weekend at the MODA Lingerie and Swimwear Exhibition in Birmingham (August 14-16), all in the name of a very special, and truly amazing new brand: beingU.

Ladies, it’s time to embrace being yourselves, whatever your size, shape or skin tone! beingU is the lingerie brand that encourages women everywhere to love who they are,  in gorgeous undies designed for darker skin tones. Every woman can feel sexy, sassy and beautiful in this fabulous, high-end range of pieces which are designed to fit a wide variety of different shapes. The range also has specially formulated  briefs which are cleverly designed to be a ‘bottom for the bra’!

The collection has been launched in style at MODA this weekend, with a stand showcasing beingU’s debut collections: the Teen, Core and Premium ranges. This August’s MODA is set to be the biggest one yet, with fashion shows, parties, and stalls showcasing thousands of lingerie and swimwear brands!

It’s been a hectic few days, but launching at MODA is a fantastic opportunity to show the world what beingU is all about!

FHN: Zara Philips in Stewart Parvin at the Royal Wedding #2

Wills and Kate weren’t the only royals to get hitched in style this year as Zara Philips said ‘I do’ to rugby royalty Mike Tindall, in a beautiful dress, designed by Stewart Parvin.

The gown had a full-length veil, and silk tulle straps with a concertina pattern, and Zara topped it off with the tiara previously worn by her mother, Princess Anne. Given that Zara’s trademark style has more of a tomboy edge, it was nice to see her dressed up and looking gorgeous as she walked down the aisle!

FHN: Kanye West Tries His Hand at Fashion?

Kanye West may be turning his talents from music to fashion with his own clothing line!

Female First magazine reported today that Kanye has been in talks with several London designers to advise and oversee  a potential upcoming collection. There have also been reports that the rap superstar has been in talks with the ultimate British fashion icon, Kate Moss, to represent the collection.

Mr West is becoming more and more present on the fashion scene (he reportedly spent a lot of time in a woman’s Celine cape at Coachella festival earlier this year) and HOUSE OF SASSI are very interested to see how this collection will turn out!

FHN: Emma Watson at the Harry Potter Premier

“Fashion Hot or Not”

Emma Watson made a magical entrance at the premier of the final Harry Potter film last night in a show-stopping LBD, a look which couldn’t have been more different from the wizard attire that fans are used to seeing her in.

Posing for photos outside the St Pancras Hotel with her co-stars, it isn’t difficult to see why the star is fast becoming a fashion icon. Emma opted for a beautiful Rafael Lopez number, an innovative take on the LBD, with lace and ruffle detailing for a stand out look. A pair of patent black heels were the perfect addition to the outfit.

Introducing the Girls… Kitty, Connie, Betty, Nancy and Gracie

The ladies of The House of Sassi managed The Vintage Cosmetic Company’s launch event for their exciting new range of glamorous false eyelashes at the fabulous Powder Room in Soho.

Co-Owner of The Vintage Cosmetic Company, Clare Collard, was delighted to be introducing their new range of eyelashes and told us:  “If you are a girly girl, into vintage or just want to make an impression, then we can provide lashes for you. We are so excited to being stocked in The Powder Rooms, they have the same vibe and feel as we do, and we love working with them.”

Guests had the opportunity to get an exclusive view of  the new range of vintage style eyelashes and even had the chance try a pair on which came in five different designs: Kitty for the glamour puss, Connie for the girl next door look, Betty to show off almond shaped eyes, Nancy to enhance a delicate doll face and Gracie for a simple but cute and girly look. There were styles and designs available to suit everyone, who were either looking for the natural look or looking to make a big midweek impression.

It was lovely to see bloggers and friends in the media including Cosmopolitan, Reveal and Fifties Wedding who all came down to enjoy an early morning treat of eyelashes and ‘Cute as a Cupcakes’ cupcakes in a relaxing, friendly atmosphere.

As the morning came to an end, guests left with goody bags packed with delightful things including their very own pair of vintage style eyelashes, Four Reasons hair products, Amzi Boutique make-up, lovely scented candles courtesy of Sandy Bay and vintage themed sweets.

It was definitely a great morning event for The Vintage Cosmetic Company launch!
