LFW Diary: Day Four

Rev Run & Miss Sassi PR

Never one to miss a party… especially Rev. Run’s private party… Sassi PR headed to Aqua on Wednesday night to join in the celebrations to launch the Run NYC collection, which is to be stocked exclusively by Foot Locker Europe.

It was a great evening for marking Joseph Simmons aka Rev.Run’s collection.  Mr hip hop legend, music icon, star of MTV show ‘Run’s House’, man of wisdom and street wear fashion inspiration, had a packed party. The music was good and for Sassi PR it was great evening for catching up with some music and fashion industry friends, who like me mingled with a host of celebrities; as the event was attended by Bashy, Jamelia, Tim Westwood, Sinitta, Paloma Faith, and Amber Rose, amongst others.

The New York-inspired sneaker collection was clearly displayed in glass cabinets by the bar, showing a choice of hip hop and low cut styles and a range of colours spanning bright stand out reds and blues, to sophisticated monochrome palette of blacks and greys. The collection includes fun t-shirts that carry a range of slogans like ‘Stop Fronting and start Confronting’ – which are clearly influenced by Rev. The night didn’t end there… like most PR events were we given goodie bags which included press releases detailing the information about the launch… but it also included a t-shirt from the collection and a voucher for a free pair of Run NYC sneakers!  Thank you Rev. Run.

LFW Diary: Day Five

Wednesday 22 September London Fashion Week is over and it’s time to celebrate another glorious year in fashion.

We were so disappointed that we couldn’t attend any of the menswear shows, but we were too busy working back at the office, but from what we hear Ozwald Boateng‘s show was one to remember!

We did however, make it to the final party was hosted by La Geneve North is association with the British Fashion Council. It was held at the luxurious Jalouse Private Members Club in Mayfair. As expected it was a glamorous event with it’s own catwalk show and was a fabulous way to end the week.

We were delighted that French clothing brand MALAM and Ukrainian born Valery Kovalska were getting the opportunity to raise the international profile of their fashion collections during London Fashion Week.

MALAM

French clothing brand MALAM seeks to produce clothing that is original and unique in an effort to oppose mainstream fashion. Her current collection ‘Poupées Perdues’ which translates into the meaning, ‘Lost Dolls’ consists of designs inspired by childhood, fairytales and historical clothing.

Valery Kovalska's Collection

Valery Kovalska is the first Ukrainian designer to create and specialise in dance and performance outfits. Her contemporary punk and rock edge encapsulated into her designs have gained her widespread media interest especially in Russia having recently showcased at Russia Fashion Week.
