MHM: Chris Brown featuring Justin Bieber: ‘Ladies Love Me’

Chris Brown is all about the big name collaborations these days: recently, he’s teamed up with Benny BenassiLil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, and Twista. In keeping with this theme, Chris has teamed up with  current king of teen pop, Justin Bieber, on new single Ladies Love Me, a followup to their recent collaboration Next to You.

Premiered on Youtube last week, the single features both Chris and Bieber rapping, and features some sample lyrics from  previous single Look At Me Now, in which Chris teamed up with Weezy and Busta. Surprisingly, Bieber isn’t actually too bad at rapping. Still a controversial choice, not quite in keeping with Chris Brown’s more mature image.

FHN: Zara Philips in Stewart Parvin at the Royal Wedding #2

Zara Phillips and her father Mark arrive at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh

Wills and Kate weren’t the only royals to get hitched in style this year as Zara Philips said ‘I do’ to rugby royalty Mike Tindall, in a beautiful dress, designed by Stewart Parvin.

The gown had a full-length veil, and silk tulle straps with a concertina pattern, and Zara topped it off with the tiara previously worn by her mother, Princess Anne. Given that Zara’s trademark style has more of a tomboy edge, it was nice to see her dressed up and looking gorgeous as she walked down the aisle!

So how does this Royal Wedding Dress compare to Kate Middleton’s Sarah Burton spectacular? HOUSE OF SASSI rates Zara Philips’s beautiful and understated wedding dress: 4/5

Jewellery With A Rock ‘n’ Roll Edge: Anouska London

When it comes to finding high quality (but still masculine) men’s jewellery, it’s often difficult to find much between grunge bits of string, and glittery horrors, that would suit the girls better than the guys! However, this doesn’t always have to be the case; if you’re looking for truly unique men’s jewellery with a rock ‘n’ roll edge, Anouska London Jewellery has the answer!

Anouska London Jewellery is a collection of beautiful handmade jewellery, combining ‘Art, Fashion and Surreal Edginess’ to create gorgeous pieces for men and women. The most recent addition to the collection is the Men’s Collection. Designed with a Gothic edge, the Men’s collection is dark, sexy, stylish, and perfect for guys who want to stand out from the crowd.

In recent years, the movement of men’s jewellery has gone from wedding rings and the occasional medallion, to a huge variety of necklaces, bracelets, and other wearable everyday pieces. Masculine jewellery is in, and Anouska London Jewellery knows how to work it! The Men’s Collection is entirely made from Onyx, Swarovski Crystal, Hematite, and Sterling Silver for an edgy look which really stands out.

Each piece in the Men’s Collection is limited and not mass produced, so you can be sure that you’ll retain your individuality. Several of the pieces incorporate a skull motif, in keeping with the Anouska London Jewellery ‘Luxury Gothic’ themed collection for men and women. The pieces really show the darker side of fashion with their edgy rock ‘n’ roll designs. Particularly popular pieces include the stunning rosary necklace, and the Luxury Gothic bracelet stack.

Like Anouska London Jewellery’s other ranges, the Men’s Collection is collection is quickly becoming a favourite with celebs, celebrities including Peter Andre , Joe Calzaghe, and Calum Best.

Remember, each piece is in a very limited number, so don’t miss out!  If you are a guy who likes to stand out, or if you’re a girl who wants to put your man on the style map, visit: http://www.anouskalondon.com/#/mens-shop/4552292745 to check out the fantastic Men’s Collection!

Love is A Losing Game: Amy Winehouse (1983-2011)

Like many fans around the world, HOUSE OF SASSI was sad to hear of the passing of  the extremely talented Amy Winehouse who tragically died at the weekend, aged just 27.

Amy was well-known for her troubled personal life (mostly for her battle with drugs and alcohol), but that didn’t stop her from hitting the UK music scene with a bang. In 2003, the release of her first album, Frank, led to an Ivor Novello award and several BRIT nominations. The album put Amy on the music map with songs including ‘Stronger Than Me’, which gained her a huge fan base.

Amy’s second album, Back to Black, is most famous for its controversial lead single ‘Rehab’. The album contained several songs with a much more personal vibe than Frank. Amy’s amazing talent as a singer/songwriter shone through on her second album, winning her five Grammys and tie-ing her with Beyonce, Lauryn Hill, and Alicia Keys, for the second largest number of awards won by a female artist in a single ceremony. Fans loved the singles ‘Back to Black’, ‘Love is a Losing Game’, and ‘You Know I’m No Good’.

Amy’s unique voice, her soul/jazz-influenced music, and that trademark beehive (not to mention her colourful private life) made her a household name in the UK and beyond. Found at her home in Camden on July 23rd, Amy’s tragic death  enrols her in the iconic ’27 Club’-musicians and stars who died before or at the age of 27, and whose members include Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin.

The music of Amy Winehouse will live on for its uniqueness, frank honesty, and showcasing of a genuine talent. HOUSE OF SASSI will always love Amy’s hugely popular version of The Zutons’ ‘Valerie’, with Mark Ronson. RIP Amy, the UK music scene won’t be the same without you.

FHN: Kanye West Tries His Hand at Fashion?

Kanye West may be turning his talents from music to fashion with his own clothing line!

Female First magazine reported today that Kanye has been in talks with several London designers to advise and oversee  a potential upcoming collection. There have also been reports that the rap superstar has been in talks with the ultimate British fashion icon, Kate Moss, to represent the collection.

Mr West is becoming more and more present on the fashion scene (he reportedly spent a lot of time in a woman’s Celine cape at Coachella festival earlier this year) and HOUSE OF SASSI are very interested to see how this collection will turn out!
